Al Capp's work is always a joy to read and a pleasure to see. I can't wait for the collection of ... well any of his work. Even a sketch book would be something.
Fascinating guy. Lil' Abner had 90 million readers at it's peak! From Wikipedia:"Capp was calling society absurd, not just silly; human nature not simply misguided, but irredeemably and irreducibly corrupt. Unlike any other strip, and indeed unlike many other pieces of literature, Li'l Abner was more than a satire of the human condition. It was a commentary on human nature itself."
Custom Coaster: Kitchen Sink was putting out all the dailies but went out of business before finishing. They did manage to get to the 27th book, a year per book. I managed to get them all. Most are still available on Amazon.

I heard another publisher was trying to do it again, though not sure if that's true.
